Men Seeking God

Greetings from Spain!

Our hot summer has passed and we are thankfully starting to have fall temperatures. Now we have started English classes back up. We have a great group of students attending ranging from 5-year-olds to a 73-year-old. These groups include many new faces. Please pray with us that God would shine through the interactions we have with each student and each family.

The exciting news is the church! In the last prayer letter, we mentioned how we were on the verge of starting a Bible study in Peralta (a nearby community) where there was no Gospel centered outreach. Every Wednesday evening, we meet and people are learning. The ladies continue to invite others! One of the couples has come on Sundays now! It is exciting to see how God has filled those who attend with an excitement to learn and to live what God shows them.

This past Sunday with the church we planned a special activity. We had an outing starting with a hike which included a photo scavenger hunt, then we went to a park for a picnic, and afterward had our service outside! Some attended all 3 portions and some just came for the service. It was a wonderful time! We had 11 on the hike and 13 more joined for the service!

We continue to be amazed at all God is doing! That He allows us to be a part of it is such a gift! He has now put on our hearts to organize a men’s group to meet once a month. We have 6 committed to be a part of it. Our first meeting will be Saturday morning on October 18. Please be praying for the group as we gather. We believe this is going to strengthen the homes, marriages, and lives of those participating. The group consists of a varied range of age and stage of life. Back in April of 2024, God opened a door to a new stage of the church as we celebrated five men getting baptized. In the history of the church in Tafalla there has not been such a large group of men desiring to grow in the Lord. Now to have a group of 6 men desiring to meet together to support and sharpen each other is another groundbreaking moment.
