Southland Bible Church
Southland Bible Church is the flagship church of Tentmakers Bible Mission churches. It was the first one to start and the first one to graduate.
The church held its first service Sept. 9th 1985 with 12 people in attendance. In 1988 God made it possible for the church to purchase land and build the first building. In 1990 it was necessary to expand the church and a second phase was added. By 1991 the church had met all the requirements for graduation from Tentmakers and became an independent church. God has blessed and the church has had to expand two more times in subsequent years.
In 1993 the church took part of the congregation and started a sister work in Laverkin, Utah, 22 miles away. Southland purchased land and built Mountain View Bible Church.
One of the wonderful things we have watched over the years is many of our people have felt led to go to Bible Schools to prepare for ministry, and have served in different ministries. Nineteen have served as pastors or pastor’s wives or on the mission field.
