Autumn Activities Abound
October 10, 2016 | Dan and Sharon Leatherwood
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from Artajona, where we are now feeling the arrival of fall as the weather is changing and the smell of bonfires in the country around us is common. October has started with a lot of activity and excitement as the Lord continues to show His Hand at work in many ways.
Thank you for your prayers regarding the possible addition of a third week of English camp in the summer. In the end, the group of directors supported the adding of a third week! We are excited to see how God is going to put together this third week and how He will use it. Now we are seeking His provision for the teams who will staff the camps as well as His wisdom to see how to plan the three consecutive weeks of camp. Please pray that the Lord would do His will in and through each of these three weeks.
Please also continue to pray for the teens who spent the summer in Houston. Along with Dioni (the man who accompanied the teens during the trip), we are trying to organize an outing to see a soccer match in Pamplona for Friday and in this way, continue the contact now on this side of the ocean.
Last week, the English classes all started and it is clear that God has brought the students and worked out the schedule. It has been amazing to see how God has brought many kids who have come to camp. Andrew and Ashton have taken on teaching a class. They both slid into the role smoothly and did an outstanding job. Sharon also has a class with three little children and then is a huge help to me with my kids’ classes as well.
Please pray for the church group in Tafalla as there are two women who are in the midst of difficult storms and are taking a stand to maintain their testimony.
Thank you for your prayers for life and ministry here in northern Spain.
With our love in Christ,
Dan and Sharon for the Leatherwoods
