Busy Summer in Peru

Hello from Tarapoto, San Martin, Peru. Trust all is going well, and you are happy in Jesus. We just started preaching thru 2 Corinthians this year and the last couple of weeks have been really enjoyable. We have learned that God is the God of all comfort and He comforts us in our troubles so we can in turn comfort someone else, God is faithful and He will always come thru on all His promises and, that we endure hard times to remind us that we can’t do it on our own but God is in control; these are all such an encouragement for daily living.

Saying all that makes it sound as though nothing could be unpleasant. Well not all has gone as we have expected and we are trusting God anyway. It will be exciting to see what will happen this year with our family and with the church.

On February 14, the first of three different mission teams arrive. The other two will come the end of March and June. So please pray as we will have an evangelistic campaign from Wednesday to Sunday with this team coming from Ica, Peru. Evangelism will be the focus and then following that comes discipleship training. Delwin and Techy have already started this with different ones who have come to Christ recently and we look forward to a baptism service in March.

Another prayer need is for VBS (EBDV). Just so you notice the difference between English and Spanish, School Bible of Vacation. Oh yes, it is summer vacation right now too, no freezing weather for us. This will occur the Monday thru Friday after the mission team leaves, from February 19 to 23.

This week Techy is teaching at the Women’s Bible conference. She enjoys being with 100 ladies all day and Sarah is quite good now with keeping the family nourished, so it all works great. During these activities, we still have normal church meetings on Wednesday evening being Bible study and prayer meeting. Then on Thursday, we have been having some great Men’s Bible study and prayer and then Saturday and Sunday are the busiest church days.
