Much to be Grateful For

THE BAGLEY BRIEF
July 3, 2026
Dear Support Family,
We pray that all of you will enjoy the celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday tomorrow. Together, let’s pray that our nation will turn back to the Lord in every segment of our society. At Hope Bible Church, here in Montpelier, ID, we are marching toward just our 2nd birthday as a church family. November 2026 will mark two years as an infant church. In the last twenty months God has showered us with overflowing mercies and revealed His great faithfulness. The last four months since our last update have been no exception to that.
March 6-11, we enjoyed our time with a team of students from Frontier School of the Bible who came out for a Spring Break Missions Trip. They were accompanied by Colby and Emma Hale (and son Jack), who are new Home Office missionaries with Tentmakers Bible Mission. It meant a lot to us to be able to introduce them to our ministry and to the spiritual needs in Bear Lake Valley.
April 5 was a special Resurrection Sunday celebration. We started the day with an Easter Brunch in our extra building and then followed that with our Worship Service. God brought sixty-six people out to the service and there was a wonderful spirit of family unity.
On April 7, I started up a one-to-one discipleship study, with the goal of the attendees taking someone under their wing at the end of the study and discipling that person themselves. We had twenty-five people participate in the study. The study ended on June 9. Would you pray that God will direct the participants to know whom they should disciple going forward?
The month of May was very difficult for our family as we said good-bye to my Dad who passed away on May 13. Yet, during our sorrow there were abundant blessings from the Lord. My mother, my three siblings and I were all able to be with Dad when he took his last breath. I was able to spend around two and a half years with my Dad out in this valley before his home-going. During that time, he was able to watch a new church start in this town that he and my mom prayed over for fifteen years.
Our family has set the date for Dad’s Memorial Service. It will be held on August 19 at 7 PM at Grace Fellowship Church in Preston, ID. I want to thank all of you who have ministered to me and to our family through your gifts, cards, phone calls, texts, prayers, and personal visits. We have been truly encouraged and comforted by the outpouring of love for my Dad and our family. Pray for my Mom as she seeks God’s direction.
On May 28, we held our final Hope Kids ministry before the summer break. During the eight months that we held this weekly ministry, God allowed us to minister to twenty-eight different children on a regular basis. Laura and I felt like it was one of the best outreaches we’ve ever been a part of. Our daughters, Cherish and Delight, and one of our ladies from church, were so faithful in ministering to the children alongside of us.
Having met all these children and their families, we are now gearing up for our first ever Vacation Bible School at Hope Bible Church. We start this coming Monday, July 6 and go through Friday, July 10. God has provided willing volunteers from our church family, and we are so excited to launch this ministry. I wanted to get this update out today so that you could pray for us all week long as we share God’s love and His Good News with these children. We are praying that God will send us an average of twenty-five children each day. Please pray for us, the volunteers and for the children who will come!
June 18-20, we hosted our first ever Family Camp (Adventure Camp) in a beautiful canyon outside of Montpelier. A dear couple from our church organized the camp and taught unique frontier skills to all the attendees. The Lord brought forty-one people to join in, and we were over-joyed to see the way God used the camp to create a special bond between our people.
The last two months we’ve seen God bring an average of fifty-six people each Sunday. Some of those Sundays have been really packed in our current facility. We ask you to keep praying that God will provide a larger facility according to His will. We love the place God has given us and it’s been perfect for these first two years, but we believe that He is getting another place ready. Praise God for each person who comes to church!
This weekend we will all be thanking God for the freedoms we cherish in our nation. But we are even more grateful for the freedom the Gospel brings to those in slavery to sin. Thank you for praying for our family and for Hope Bible Church as we seek to share that message of freedom with as many as possible. Your partnership gives us the freedom to serve with all our hearts in this valley, and we thank God for each of you!
With Much Gratitude,
Bill, for Laura, Joy, Cherish, Delight, Will, and Comfort
