Restrictions Causing Changes

Hello Friends!

There has been lots to deal with since we returned from Dallas and Marcos’s wedding.  We had a wonderful time there and in Dallas and it was even quite restful.  Since back in Tarapoto there has been much to deal with.  Jennifer had her 15th birthday party and everyone left at nine because of the curfew.  That is really hard to deal with as normally you can’t sing ‘Happy Birthday’ until midnight.  Needless to say, the curfew has changed our lifestyle.

More concerning to us is how it seems to have changed the spiritual interest of the people.  You know everyone has thought about life and death but very few seem to be thinking about a daily commitment to God and HIS WORD.  We have been unable to be together much but we try to take advantage of every opportunity.  We can have a family over and then pray and read the Bible with them.  The sermon still gets posted on Facebook live and there is some interest there, but it is different preaching to the computer.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and continued financial support during this time.  Please pray for wisdom in strategies in ministry, togetherness as a family,  wisdom in counseling during some serious situations that have come to our attention with some church members and the challenges of dealing with all the covid restrictions.
