Springtime in Italy!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Spring here is really beautiful!

A seeker from the town of Mirandola brought two large wisteria branches to the community service. The scent was very intense, and the worship service was pervaded by this aroma. We, all his children, are spreading another type of perfume, that of the Gospel of Christ.

Here is our latest news in brief:

1) During a recent visit to the hospital to the father of a believer from the Borgofranco community, we also spoke and prayed for Angelo and Gianni, father and son, whose son had to be operated on. Angelo was moved and we think that God organized this encounter.

2)We started again with the book table in the open market of The town of Bergantino.  (See the Update Pictures link above)  This morning, we saw profitable sowing. Several people have accepted Christian literature. Two gentlemen stopped to talk and shared the joys and worries of their lives. Both have accepted literature. One is called Elvino, in the past he was a famous cyclist.

3)The small assembly in Mirandola gives many satisfactions. When we meet, there is always an atmosphere of happiness and joy. In the last meeting a gentleman entered and stopped to listen to our prayers.  I am studying the book of Nehemiah with them; our studies are interactive and participation is high.

4)We had some problems in church and a member of the community lashed out at me and the other co-pastor for no apparent reason.  We are really sad because his wife is a dear sister! Thank God he has decided to leave the church, but I ask you to pray for our protection. Thank you!

5)Next Sunday Mirco will be preaching in a community (two hours from where we live). Marostica in the province of Vicenza.  Pray that the preaching can be challenging to them and also one of encouragement.
