UPDATE: Report from the Thompsons May 1, 2025
Dear Co-laborers,
We want to thank you again for walking (and praying) with us through the past few months, as we awaited Wanda’s heart surgery, originally scheduled for January but delayed until last week. We are so thankful to report that the surgery, lasting two hours, was very successful! Wanda received two new stents which tripled the blood flow in the two arteries where they were placed. She was kept in the hospital for an extra day (two and a half total), receiving two iron infusions to raise her hemoglobin levels which had fallen quite a bit from blood loss due to the surgery.
In two weeks Wanda will meet with her cardiologist, at which point she will begin rehab to regain strength and stamina. We are grateful to God for good Doctors and faithful praying friends like you!
END OF THE SEMESTER AT FRONTIER
It was another successful year here at Frontier School of the Bible. Twenty seven men and women will graduate this year. In addition, many of our freshmen and juniors are heading to serve full time at summer camps and other ministries. Pray that their walk with God deepens as they serve Him in these vital areas, practically applying the things they have learned during their studies here at Frontier.
I enjoyed teaching Church Planting and Homiletics (Preaching) classes this semester as well as assisting in Pastoral Theology. This fall I am scheduled to teach Biblical Analysis of Cults and World Religions and Practical Relations in Missions, both of which I have taught before.
SUMMER PLANS AND TRAVELS
If Wanda’s health continues to improve, in May we will make a trip west (to Utah and Oregon), to visit with family, attend a graduation, reconnect with some of you, and meet with several of our TBM missionaries.
In June we will travel to Michigan, where we will be a part of a Celebration of Tentmakers Bible Mission’s 40th Anniversary. It is hard to believe that so much time has passed!
