THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!
December 3, 2018 | Dan and Sharon Leatherwood
Thank you so much for your prayers for Tafalla! The conference was a great launching pad to start our once a month apologetics topic night. After we sent our last prayer update out, technology began to work! Go God! We had different faces each night of the weekend conference as well as our small church group. I was so pleased with how the group welcomed people in, invited friends and brought food items to snack on afterwards. We had a signup sheet for those that want details for our next special event. We are so thankful to Shadow Mountain for sending the Nyquists to lead the weekend.
We are currently going through the book of Daniel on Sundays and it has been a real eye opener for the group. I have also challenged them to memorize Romans 5:8 (which is the basis of our new meeting time) so they have an answer to why we meet on Sunday, and to memorize Proverbs 3:5-6 as to how we look to the future.
On Saturday, I attended the camp directors meeting for Siete Robles. The calendar is set and we are a GO for 3 weeks next summer! We are actively praying for the teams the Lord is forming and for the campers He is bringing. One church has already contacted us with the desire to bring a team for one week. If partnering with us in the summer by bringing a team of 9-10 servant-hearted, able-bodied Christ followers is something the Lord has been putting on your heart, then please contact me and I can send you information on what camp looks like and what is needed. As always, we need prayer to cover these weeks – for health, safety, and most of all for the campers to see the Gospel lived out in tangible ways by the team.
On a final note, we have had many families in the community contact us and ask about the possibility of sending teens to the States in the summer for a month. We have two churches that have expressed an interest in this adventure. Please pray for the Lord to work in and through it and bring host homes to receive the Spanish youth.
Thank you for participating with us in the ministry here through prayer,
Dan and Sharon Leatherwood for the family
