Thanksgiving Blessings to You

November 18, 2023 | Delwin and Techy Fowler

Hello from Tarapoto and Happy Thanksgiving,

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.”

Paul’s words from Ephesians 3:20-21 are a great reminder to us that God is doing great things in spite of various obstacles.  Delwin’s bleeding ulcer ordeal and Techy’s encounter with a lawsuit over a land dispute are great obstacles that hinder the work, but God does wonderful and great things for His glory!

Please continue to pray for Techy and her brother as they somehow are still involved in this dispute over a land parcel we bought in 2011.  Since we didn’t put a fence around it to mark it as ours, someone claimed it as theirs putting up a fence and not letting us in.  This has been going on for over a year and it is a stress on Techy especially.

Being down for four months is no fun and it’s worse watching others eat pizza and drink coke on your birthday.  Delwin is getting better but is still having to be very careful with what he eats.  His strength is increasing little by little and he has been included in church ministry on a more frequent basis.  Your prayers are still extremely important!

As a result of these setbacks the young people are picking up the slack in church leadership.  Several are preaching and sharing the Word in different meetings and so there are positive results even in things we consider not so good.  Thank you for all your prayers during these four months of difficulty!

Also please pray for Jennifer as we have applied for her US citizenship, and we have done all we can and need to wait for the US government to finish the process.  Our three married kids are doing well.  Jonathan & Sarita are finishing their final year at FSB in LaGrange, WY.  Lucas & Taylor are living in the Dallas, TX area working and helping in church ministry. Marcos & Allyson are keeping us happy with lots of pictures of their precious son Judah.  They are also in the Dallas area doing an internship with Plano Bible Chapel.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support for the ministry here in Tarapoto!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving week and God bless,
