The LORD Is My Helper

“I lift up my eyes to the hills where comes my help
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.”  Psalm 121:1

It is so great to be able to look to God for all that we need and depend on Him to direct our paths. God is so good to us, and it is a pleasure to be able to serve Him even though we are sometimes handicapped as we grow older, and our bodies aren’t as active as we use to be. But God is with us, and we see His hand at work in our lives and His grace is sufficient as we try to do our best and obey Him. We are so thankful for all of our prayer warriors.  “Soon and very soon we are going to see the king”.

Skip has had good days and bad days these last two months. He spent one night in the hospital in December as he was very weak and not eating and had vomiting problems. The Dr has adjusted some of his medication to one every other day for 4 of his meds and that seems to have helped with him being sleepy all the time. He is doing better. But the eating problem still exists. Sometimes he eats it all and sometimes it is just a bite or two and that’s it. We do the best we can with liquids and sometimes we just mash the food (seems to do better than liquids).

He does not walk much anymore except for the therapist who is with him, but his legs are so weak he just can’t stand up. His mind is still going good and he remembers stuff better than us. Does fono two times a week and remembers scripture and songs etc. that she works with him on, and therapy two times a week and we do exercises with him sitting down.

We are thankful for the funds to be able to put a ceiling up in the church and it really looks nice and there is not so much echo in the building.  This week (27th) they started putting the tile on the floor. The dust from the cement floor was hurting allergies.

We have lost a few people and have gained some. We are admonished to “set our minds on things above and not on things of earth” and so much so as we see the day approaching.

Our ladies have Project Mary this year. We are praying for an unsaved friend, visiting her, encouraging her, and trusting to lead her to Christ.

Our music dept is weak but I am going to start practicing for Easter in the next week or so. I will probably just have a quartet or trio but will try.

We are thankful that Naomi is here to help me with Skip. Her husband is here until the 10th of March. We are thankful he could come.

Our magicJack is out of order since the U S had that problem and I don’t know how to reset. It is run through the computer so maybe some could help. I don’t understand much of these things. I can still use Messenger and WhatsApp to make calls. My cellphone # is 11 964 905 241.

Thank you for your prayers and continued financial help. May God richly bless each of you. We pray for all of you daily.

Praise:
for Skip being a little better
for Naomi’s help at this time
for Paulo to be able to come down
Prayer:
for a good report on Betty’s exams
for faithfulness of our people even though we are few in number
for our ladies’ Project Mary
for our Easter music practice
for those we are witnessing to that they will respond to the gospel
For Brazil as a country that needs Christ

Thanks for your faithful prayers and financial help.
Yours for Brazil,
