Jonathan and Bethany Koehn

Our desire and goal is “to declare Christ” (Colossians 4:3-6). We seek to declare Christ among Latinos (Spanish-speakers) in Colorado, USA. We have done and continue to do this through many different forms of outreach, evangelism, Bible studies, Sunday church services, one-on-one discipleship, children’s Bible clubs and much more.

We have been working with Spanish-speakers since 2009 when Jonathan went into full-time ministry with Tentmaker’s Bible Mission in Peru, S.A. When we were first married, we began working side-by-side in Peru before God moved us back to the USA in 2011. We spent a short time working among English-speakers in Utah before moving to Colorado to start a Spanish-speaking church. Our first Sunday service was Resurrection Sunday of 2013. Our desire is to reach the unchurched Latinos where we live in Colorado. God has seen fit to bring many Spanish-speakers from all over Mexico and South America to Colorado and we are thankful to be a part of what God is doing in their lives. Our church services are completely bilingual with Jonathan preaching in both Spanish and English each Sunday. We tailor our children’s ministry and Bible studies to the language(s) that effectively reach the people coming. That may be English, Spanish or a combination of both. Over the years here, we have led some to Christ’s salvation, we have seen some baptized, we have discipled others to come closer to Christ, and we have counseled married couples and families to make Christ the center of their lives. We have also seen some walk away from the truth of salvation and some believers stray from their friendship with Christ. Ministry holds many ups and downs. The Lord Jesus Christ is faithful through it all.

We both trusted in Christ as Savior at young ages and were raised in believing households. Jonathan grew up in the Southwest and Bethany grew up in the Northwest. Jonathan was directed to ministry by the Lord as a young adult and attended Frontier School of the Bible graduating in 2007. Bethany was directed by the Lord to His work as a young girl and also attended Frontier School of the Bible graduating in 2010. We married in 2010 and the Lord has blessed us with 4 precious children. We are so thankful to get to raise them with the Lord as our wisdom and guide. We are faith-supported by wonderful churches and individuals. Jonathan also works a “tentmaking” job as a co-owner of theWord Bible Software. The Bible software is multi-lingual and international being used by believers worldwide. A second “tentmaking” job he has is roasting and selling coffee beans. We are thankful to serve the Lord together and receive His provision in whatever form He sends it.
